Mohrenbräu Kellerbier

Kellerbier is a German type of beer, a lager that is usually neither clarified nor pasteurised. The term Kellerbier literally means "cellar beer" and refers to the cool storage temperatures. Its recipe probably dates back to the Middle Ages.

Compared to most of today's filtered and pasteurised lagers, Kellerbier contains a greater proportion of original brewer's yeast and vitamins, which are kept in suspension. Therefore, it is distinctly cloudy and is called naturally cloudy by German producers.
